job description

HR Partners by Randstad has an opportunity for a Principal People and Culture Advisor to join our government client site in Brisbane. This role is a temporary role Monday-Friday with an immediate start until 27 September 2024. This role is paying between $71.67-$79.94 per hour depending on experience.


About the role:

To support the team this role will lead the development and implementation of workforce management programs and initiatives, including learning and development, performance and development, policy and procedure reviews or creation, workforce planning etc.


  • Plan, develop, lead, and evaluate significant and complex workforce projects and strategies to build organisational capability, ensuring responsiveness to meet the current and future needs of the organisation and best practice workforce management principles.
  • Lead the development, design and facilitation of key learning and development projects including conducting a capability and development needs analysis, leadership development, and career progression strategy.
  • Prepare high-quality written documentation such as policy documents, submissions for action, reports, briefing notes and other correspondence for senior stakeholders on a range of complex and confidential workforce management issues.
  • Support the delivery of operational and strategic workforce planning with the Manager, People and Culture Unit.
  • Provide expert, strategic advice to senior management and stakeholders on issues affecting workforce planning and management, including supporting the development of skills, capability and understanding in these areas.
  • Research and analyse risk, trends or improvement opportunities, research multiple sources of information to generate options and solutions consistent with contemporary practices and provide well informed evidence-based recommendations to drive quality decision making.

  • Experience working in a HR leadership role leading the workforce management programs and initiatives
  • Experience evaluating complex workforce projects and strategies
  • Experience with policy documentation and processes
  • Experience in a Senior People and Culture role
  • Government experience, highly desirable
  • Applicants must be based in Brisbane due to the urgency of the role
