HR Partners is currently seeking an HR Support Officer (AS03) to join our client’s dynamic People and Culture team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to provide essential HR services and support across a range of functions, including recruitment, contract management, and general HR administration. The temporary contract offers the potential for extension beyond the initial 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration & Support:
Deliver timely and accurate HR services, including recruitment and selection, contract management, and providing advice on HR policies, regulations, and procedures.
People Management Advice:
Offer first-line advice to managers and supervisors on workforce-related matters, including leave administration, position management, and HR systems usage.
Process Improvement:
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the HR department to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of HR services.
HR Legislation & Compliance:
Ensure the application and interpretation of HR legislation, policies, and procedures, and assist in managing employment contracts and HR records.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the HR Consulting team to deliver people services that align with the department's goals and objectives, and collaborate with Shared Services to ensure accurate transaction processing.
Skills & Experience:
General HR Experience:
Proven experience in HR administration, including recruitment, contract management, and providing general HR support.
Strong Communication Skills:
Ability to build effective relationships with managers, staff, and other stakeholders, offering clear, concise, and solutions-oriented advice.
Knowledge of HR Legislation:
Familiarity with HR policies, employment legislation, and practices, particularly within the public sector or government context.
Attention to Detail & Organisational Skills:
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
Driver’s Licence: A current driver’s license is required, and travel may be required for work-related purposes.
Work Permit: Applicants must be Australian residents or hold a current work permit (proof required).
Work Health & Safety: Acknowledge work, health, and safety obligations when applying.
Emergency Management Training: The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and participate in relevant preparedness, response, and recovery activities.
