job description

HR Partners is representing an Australian transport company for a People & Culture Business Partner (NSW) based in Eastern Creek. This role will be the main point of contact for all people-related matters in NSW. You’ll work closely with the National People & Culture team to implement initiatives, providing HR support across strategic, advisory, and operational services at all NSW sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships with managers and employees.
  • Provide expert HR consultation to align divisional strategies with HR objectives.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle (talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, training, employee relations and industrial relations - union dealings).
  • Support employee wellbeing and manage change processes.
  • Champion our organisation's values and behaviors.
  • Implement people strategy initiatives.
  • Manage Work Cover claims, Injury Management and Return to Work.
  • Safety (WHS) experience beneficial.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a similar HR Business Partner role in a mixed workforce ideally in similar industry transport and logistics and unionised environment with exposure to Enterprise Agreements (EAs).
  • Tertiary and/or higher education qualification (certificate/diploma minimum) in HR or related field
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and workplace law.
  • Ideally you have a driver’s license for travel to other sites in NSW.
