job description

We are partnering exclusively with a thriving legal firm in Sydney, currently entering an exciting period of growth and transformation, to help them find a professional and engaging People & Culture Manager. In this newly created and standalone role, you’ll be joining a firm that is well-regarded for its top-tier service and making a meaningful difference in peoples lives.

As the People & Culture Manager, entering a business that is on route to scaling up, you will be instrumental in establishing a best-practice HR function that will position the firm for sustained success. This includes building HR structures from the ground up, strategic planning, and ongoing collaboration with business leaders.

This is a part-time, permanent opportunity, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop the People & Culture function, and implement proactive and effective P&C strategies and frameworks
  • Cultivate strong stakeholder relationship and act as a trusted HR Advisor
  • Implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Lead all aspects of talent acquisition, including sourcing, recruiting, and on-boarding top talent across various levels
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create a workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced People & Culture professional with a solid background in professional services. You will have demonstrable experience of building a P&C function and introducing processes to scale. You will possess knowledge of local employment law and be comfortable working in a standalone role.
