The 2017 HR Network Group has Launched!

We are excited to announce the HR Network Group for 2017 has launched, with our first Sydney CBD event commencing this week on Tuesday 14th February at the Four Seasons Sydney. We were lucky enough to have Gordon Williams, Partner – Human Resources & Industrial Relations at Minter Ellison as our guest speaker. Gordon Williams is a leading employment lawyer and advises on a full range of employment, human resources and industrial relations issues. He also has market leading expertise in employee benefit arrangements and related corporate governance issues.

Gordon spoke about the topic “5 must do’s when managing executive terminations”. Covering all aspects of managing dismissals and dealing with executives. It’s often thought executives can’t make unfair dismissal claims – but that’s not always the case. Even when they can’t, there are a range of other potential claims that can be made. On top of that, you may have to deal with complex incentive arrangements, post employment restraints and, possibly, regulatory issues under the Corporations Act.

This was an excellent start to kick off our 2017 HR Network Group and we are excited for the many more scheduled events this year.
