Are you a seasoned People & Culture leader ready for your next confidential opportunity? Our client, a values-driven organisation, is seeking a strategic and operationally adept Head of People and Culture to lead key people initiatives, drive organisational change, and shape a high-performing, engaged workforce.

This is a pivotal leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO and working in close partnership with the Executive Team, shaping the organisation’s people strategy to drive business transformation and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as principal adviser to the CEO and Executive Team on all workforce-related matters.

  • Lead strategic HR initiatives including employee engagement, culture development and organisational design.

  • Oversee all core HR operations including recruitment, performance management, learning & development, and remuneration.

  • Manage enterprise bargaining and complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and awards.

  • Lead and implement change management programmes to support transformation initiatives.

  • Ensure accurate and compliant payroll delivery in collaboration with the finance team.

  • Present regular updates to Board committees and act as the HR conduit to the Board.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll functions within a complex environment.

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with employee relations, including enterprise bargaining and industrial instruments.

  • Proven track record of leading organisational change and transformation initiatives.

  • Comprehensive understanding of employment law, HR best practice and WHS frameworks.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Law, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident and willing to undertake a criminal history check.
