Our client is seeking a Recruitment Advisor to assist them in increasing the diversity within their workforce. About the Role

  • Identify meaningful and sustainable opportunities across the business to increase Aboriginal representation and employment by working with internal and external stakeholders, utilising your influencing skills.
  • Manage the hiring managers and candidates through the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Coordinate, develop and implement advertising and sourcing strategies with a focus on Aboriginal candidates
  • Effectively screen and shortlist candidates based on the criteria established at job briefing stage
  • Coordinate interview and selection processes ensuring behavioural interview techniques are utilised
  • Initiate and coordinate confirmations, due diligence & employment offer processes and negotiation of offers when required
  • Effectively utilise our e-recruitment system in accordance with end-to-end recruitment activities and processes, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of data to facilitate reporting
  • Proactively plan and attend regular meetings and/or site visits with assigned portfolios to understanding of customer requirements
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify innovative solutions to meet customer needs

About You

You will have relevant experience in the delivery of recruitment and selection services. You will demonstrate an understanding of current recruitment and selection methodologies, with a focus on barriers facing Aboriginal candidates, and key enablers to employment, development, and retention.

An understanding of current recruitment tools and systems including exposure to an electronic recruitment application, along with a demonstrated ability to identify industry trends and develop and apply effective sourcing and attraction strategies will also be required.

This role requires someone with strong inter-personal skills with an ability to foster teamwork and work with teams across the organisation. Connections with the broad Aboriginal community in WA and a relevant degree would be beneficial to this role.
